Please join me, LTJG Torsney, for a Coast Guard Academy admissions information session at the University of Massachusetts Boston. During this collaborative event the USCGA admissions team and representatives from UMass Boston will provide information that will give prospective applicants insight into the Academy, admissions process, Coast Guard, and academic opportunities! The event will kick-off with an optional tour of a USCG small boat followed by an admissions brief and informational panels, where students will hear directly from Active Duty USCG Officers, Coast Guard Academy Scholars, College Student Pre-Commissioning Initiative Officer Candidates, and USCG Recruiting Office Boston. Tours for the UMass Boston M/V Columbia Point and a small boat from USCG Station Boston will be offered from 3:00-4:00 PM (optional). *NOTE: In the event of foul weather or the small boat being recalled for operations we will forgo the tours and will begin the programming at 4:45 PM as detailed below. Check-in for the event will kick off at 4:15 PM and the event itself will begin at 4:45 PM. Please see below for additional details/directions.
