Admissions Brief w/ Campus Tour

Description: The Coast Guard Academy's (CGA) Admissions briefing program is your first introduction to the USCGA. The program begins with an information briefing given by an Admission Officer who will cover the Academy, Coast Guard, and the Admissions process followed by a Cadet led tour of the campus. The Admissions brief & Q/A is 45-60 mins and concludes with a 45 min tour of the Campus. This brief is intended for 7th-11th grade students interested in learning more about the opportunities at the CGA.

*All visitors need to abide by Covid guidelines below. Both proof of Vaccination & Negative Covid test result are required.

Students and guests will undergo COVID verification at event sign in. All visitors to CGA are required to have BOTH:
1. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and show proof of vaccination.
AND:
2. Proof of a negative Covid test. Options: PCR test within approx 72 hours of the visit or a negative Antigen (rapid) test within approx 24 hours of the visit. Given dynamic travel schedules, an at Home Covid-19 Test kit purchased from a drug store is acceptable, we ask that you conduct the test upon check-in and show proof of results.
3. Staff and guests will be required to wear a mask onboard CGA and within CGA facilities IAW CDC guidelines and CGA safety protocols, regardless of vaccination status. In order for a COVID-19 vaccination card to be considered valid, individuals must be fully vaccinated. Per the CDC, you are considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after the final dose of vaccine is administered. If you are not fully vaccinated AND do not have proof of a negative test you will not be able to participate in the program.

Guests will be required to wear a mask inside CGA facilities IAW CDC guidelines and DHS protocols, regardless of vaccination status. In order for a COVID-19 vaccination card to be considered valid, individuals must be fully vaccinated. Per the CDC, you are considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after the final dose of vaccine is administered. All guests will receive a wristband to indicate that they have been screened. If you are not fully vaccinated you will not be able to participate in the program.
