Join the U.S. Coast Guard Academy for an Admissions Workshop! The Workshop is for students who are making college and career plans. Highlights include an Admissions presentation, junior officer panel, an opportunity to talk with cadets currently attending the Academy, go on a tour of Sector NOLA and see a CG smallboat upclose. You can look forward to an overview of college and enlisted career opportunities, plus insight into Coast Guard missions. For more information please contact LTJG Corn. The Sector building is located at 200 Hendee Street, New Orleans LA 70114. It's located in Historic Algiers, behind the Marine Corp Support Facility (it pops right up on google maps). The Sector is secured by a gated fence with a guard shack on the left, the gate should be open, and all persons entering will be screened. Directions coming from New Orleans International Airport (East Bank): Follow signs to US-90 Business W, take exit 9B to LA-428 N/General De Gaulle Drive, right on to LB Landry Avenue, right on to Opelousas Avenue, and left on to Hendee Street, take it all the way to the end and the gate is on the left. We will be in the First Deck Training Room. Come through the main doors, where the flag pole is located, sign in with the front desk, and go through the double doors to the right. The training room is on the right hand side. |
